New Wilmington Borough owns and operates all its utility services. The Borough owns all the distribution lines and infrastructure for electric, water and sewer.

Electric Department

Electricity is purchased from AMP, for redistribution by the Borough. Meters are read on the 15th of each month. Service may be disconnected for non-payment, with a charge for reconnection.  There is a $5.00 charge for electric transfer.  Call the Borough Office at 724-946-8167 .

Water Department

Water is purchased from Aqua Pennsylvania Water Company for redistribution by the Borough.  Operation and control are shared by the Borough and the New Wilmington Municipal Authority. Billing is monthly.  Penalty and connection procedures are the same as the Electric Department.  There is a $10.00 charge for water transfer.  For help call the Borough Office at 724-946-8167.

Applications for service may be made at the Borough office or by completing the Service Contract for Water and Electric.

Bill Payment

Utility bills are due on the 10th of each month.  Bills may be paid online, over the phone, mailed to the Borough office, or deducted automatically from your checking or savings account or by using your credit/debit card through our Automatic Bill Pay option. Automatic payments are processed on the night of the 10th each month.  It may take up to 2 business days for the payment to process.  A 5% late fee penalty is added after the tenth day of the following month.

New Wilmington Municipal Authority

Articles of Amendment To the Secretary of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania;

In compliance with the requirements of Section 3.2 of the Municipality Authorities Act of 1945, as amended and supplemented, providing for the amendment to the Articles of Incorporation of authorities, the New Wilmington Municipal Authority hereby certifies under its corporate seal:

  1. That its name is NEW WILMINGTON MUNICIPAL AUTHORITY; and that its registered office is New Wilmington Borough Building, 134 High Street, New Wilmington, PA 16142.
  2. That it is an Authority incorporated and existing under and by virtue of the Municipality Authorities Act of 1946, P. L. 382, as amended and supplemented, and that its Articles of the Commonwealth on the 2nd day of December, 1983, and amended on the 18th day of October, 1991.
