Available Positions: Chief of Police
The Borough of New Wilmington in Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, is seeking an exceptional leader to supervise and direct its police department. The Chief manages police-related public relations activities and maintains good working relationships with Westminster College, the Wilmington Area School District and other entities. The Chief also performs patrol officer functions when directed. Physical requirements of the job include the ability to pursue and apprehend suspects and to engage in physical altercations when necessary.
The Chief position is an FLSA exempt position that involves the exercise of considerable discretion and independent judgment and reports to the Mayor and Borough Council.
