Some “better” news from the Municipal Authority:
Our superintendent has advised us that none of our scheduled capital improvements and repairs are an emergency. By postponing some capital expenses, and by allocating less to future capital expenditures, we are able to lessen the financial burden on our customers.
The PUC has imposed a 150% increase in the cost of water to the Authority. By taking the steps above; we are going to hold the initial increase to our customers to 38%. To continue to replace and improve water infrastructure an additional, as yet to be determined increase, will be necessary in the future.
