Winter Driving Safety Reminder

Winter is here and bad weather driving calls for additional caution.  Remember to defrost/clear all windshields of snow and ice before setting out.  Turn on your full headlights.  Slow down on slippery roads or when in reduced visibility.  Allow for extra travel time, extra stopping distance and extra following distance.  Always watch for ‘black ice’ (hidden ice).  Have a winter safety kit (flashlight, blanket, food/water, small shovel or anti-skid, etc.) in your vehicle in case you get stranded on the highway.  Use your four-way flashers if you are forced to stop on or along the roadway.  Be safe out there this winter season.
